Phoenix Elementary School District is asking voters to approve bonds to finance capital improvements throughout the District. Bond proceeds will fund:

  • Renovation of Lowell and Bethune locations
  • Improvements at Magnet Traditional and Kenilworth Campuses – including gym construction
  • Improvements and upgrades at Emerson and Whittier Campuses – including kitchen and cafeteria
  • District-wide security system and HVAC and energy updates
  • Furniture, technology, and equipment

About Our Phoenix Elementary School District

The Phoenix Elementary School District is the oldest public school district in Arizona.

First classes began on November 27, 1871, inside an adobe building.

Over the decades, the district expanded rapidly to match downtown Phoenix’s growth. Today it serves more than 5,200 students in kindergarten through eighth grade at 12 schools.
